AnEFX designs sound effects to grasp and captivate the audience of Warehouse 13’s second season

Sunday, 5th September 2010

AnEFX Studios’ talented audio post-production team is back to deliver sound design for Syfy Channel’s Warehouse 13. The show, which promises to deliver nonstop action during its second season, has already garnered rave reviews and impressive ratings. AnEFX played a critical role in the success of the show when it premiered last year with its dynamic sound effects.

Eager fans of Warehouse 13 will revel in watching its two secret service agents (played by Joanne Kelly and Eddie McClintock) as they are suddenly transferred to a top-secret storage facility housing supernatural artifacts. As the series unravels, the unsuspecting agents are faced with riveting obstacles posed by these powerful, mystical relics. Unlike most action shows, Warehouse 13 uses sound to enhance both action sequences and comedic moments.

Showrunner/Executive Producer Jack Kenny says, "Warehouse 13 is a “Thrilleramedy” - thrills, drama and comedy - and sound is a HUGE part of that. Whether it is an explosion, the sound of a gun cocking, or the splashing of Purple Goo, the enhancement of sound effects is crucial to the way the show lands with our audience. It takes a skilled hand to walk that line."

Mr. Kenny offers more praise, "The only thing more fun and creative than working with AnEFX is watching the final product emerge. There is a reason why AnEFX wins awards, they deserve them! Jack Levy and his team produce consistently brilliant work from start to finish!"

AnEFX founder Jack Levy says, “Any action show lives or dies on sound effects. They can pull an audience into a story and make them jump in their seats. Warehouse 13 has the added advantage of using sound effects to highlight the comedy as well. The sound an artifact makes can be both scary and funny. We have a creative haven here at our studio for building unique sound. We define ourselves by our service and our work quality while being ego-less, curious and dedicated.”

Actors also rave about AnEFX’s high level of personal service.  “I personally love working with the team at AnEFX, says Warehouse 13 actor Mr. McClintock. “I have worked at every studio and the vibe and aesthetics at AnEFX is unmatched.” AnEFX lends a personal touch to Warehouse 13 through their distinctive style. The team’s extreme passion and skill level ensures an audio-post production triumph for the Syfy thriller.
